Kesha finally returns to studio recording music with producer Zedd

Kesha is officially back in the studio recording music with producer Zedd. The pair first collaborated at Coachella festival where Kesha made a surprise appearance during Zedd’s concert to perform ‘True Colours’.

The 29-year-old singer, who has been in the midst of a lengthy lawsuit to gain freedom from her producer and alleged abuser Dr Luke, posted an image of their recording session on Instagram.

“It's a miracle when someone gives you a chance at finding your voice again,” the Nashville-born singer wrote.

“With no other reason other than that he is a f***king beautiful person with a heart of gold,” she added.

Zedd has also posted photos which appear to show Kesha in the recording booth.

Kesha, whose real name is Kesha Rose Sebert, is still in the midst of an ongoing lawsuit against her label Sony and her former producer Dr Luke whom she claims raped, drugged and psychologically tormented her for a decade.

In February, New York Supreme Court Justice Shirley Kornreich denied a preliminary injunction allowing Kesha to terminate her contract with Dr Luke whose real name is Lukasz Gottwald. They said the court would not “decimate a contract that was heavily negotiated and typical for the industry.”

But the judge also ruled Kesha was free to record music without the interference of Gottwald while remaining on his record label. The singer has appealed this decision, with her legal team stating that it is equivalent to “slavery”.

In March the singer announced she would be returning to writing songs.
