Kerryon Johnson tabbed as Lions’ breakout candidate by Draft Network

Kerryon Johnson had an impressive rookie campaign in Detroit in 2018. The second-round pick from Auburn ran for 5.4 yards per carry and showed some playmaking flair, something the team has lacked at running back for too long.

Many Lions fans expect even more from Johnson in his second season. So too does the Draft Network, where analyst Joe Marino tabbed the versatile RB as his breakout candidate for Detroit in 2019.

Marino sums it up nicely,

Projected to be Detroit’s lead back in 2019, Johnson’s blend of size, burst, power and vision makes him a dynamic option that could challenge to be among the league leaders in yards from scrimmage.

That’s the hope with Kerryon in Year Two.
