Irish Mirror columnist Andy Moran: "If there was one thing to be grateful for with the knockout Championship of this year and last, it’s that the competition was much more streamlined with no lengthy gaps between games for anyone.
"The Covid-19 outbreak in Tyrone has wreaked havoc with that, however. I’m glad that they were accommodated but by the time Kerry play them, the Munster champions will have been idle for five weeks and Tyrone will have been up on blocks for four.
"It’s a huge gap for both, while Kerry haven’t played a Championship game at Croke Park for almost two years.
"Meanwhile, Mayo’s run-in to the final doubles from two weeks to four, while Tyrone or Kerry will have a fortnight.
"There are a lot of different dynamics at play there and it could be revealing from a Mayo point of view as to how the down time will affect Tyrone and Kerry next weekend."
