Kerry twins who went viral cheering on Italy appeal for Euro 2020 final tickets

The Kerry twins who went viral after they were spotted cheering on Italy during Tuesday night’s match are appealing for tickets to the final.

Niall and Seamus O’Connor, from Brosna, live around the corner from each other in London.

The 30-year-olds, who work in IT, were snapped behind one of the goalposts in Wembley by eagle-eyed viewers.

They had managed to get their hands on two of the coveted tickets and befriended a number of Italians.

But Niall yesterday told us he and his brother have yet to score tickets to the final.

He said: “Unfortunately not yet but fingers crossed something comes up.”

Niall previously said it was “mayhem” in Wembley stadium after the lads bagged two tickets very late on Monday night.

He added: “We didn’t get the tickets until really late the night before, like quarter to 12 or 12 o’clock so we didn’t know we were going.

“We were going in and there was a whole bunch of the Spanish fans and a whole bunch of the Italian fans and to be honest, the Italian ones were just better craic.

“It turned out there were loads of Italians in our area. We’re big soccer fans, we play for a team over here, St James. We didn’t have anything else planned.”

But the twins didn’t realise the stir they were causing on Twitter until a fellow Irishman came over in the stadium and told them.

Niall said: “It was amazing. It was absolutely mayhem over there. The fans were going mental. It was pretty insane.”
