Kerry superstar David Clifford produces another moment of magic in dreadful conditions

David Clifford has provided us with a reminder, as if it were needed, of his prodigious talent.

The latest moment of magic from the Kerry starlet came in the worst conditions imaginable for his college University of Limerick.

Fossa attacker Clifford scored 2-1 on the night against DCU but it wasn’t enough to prevent UL going down to a 2-12 to 3-8 defeat.

UL shared a video of the stunning goal online stating: ““Our Sigerson Footballers just came up short against a highly impressive DCU side last night but how about this for a moment of magic from David Clifford. #geniusatwork”

Despite a glut of bodies lining up in front of him inside the 21 yard line and driving wind and rain, Clifford turns in on his supposedly weaker right foot.

Even though visibility was becoming an issue for spectators, there were audibe gasps and sheer laughter after Clifford produced an outrageous finish into the top right corner.

The video has been viewed almost 90,000 times already in just over 24 hours.

Clifford, still only 22, previously attended IT Tralee but the 2018 Young Footballer of the Year is now with UL.

The Kerry star was nominated for an All-Star again recently and has high hopes of picking up his third award when the team is named next week.
