Kerry Katona worries fans as she says she's "getting worse, not better" a week after catching Covid

Reality star Kerry Katona has sparked concerns with an update to fans on her battle against Covid-19 after struggling with the virus over Christmas.

Mum-of-five Kerry says she has been feeling ill for over a week now, despite hoping to be getting better by this stage of the illness and says she's "in a bad way".

She shared a photo on her Instagram account looking poorly snuggled up in bed at home in Alderley Edge which she captioned: "F*** off Covid".

In a series of Instagram stories on Monday the Atomic Kitten star updated fans on her health battle with coronavirus.

She started by saying: "Why do I feel like I'm getting worse and not better???"

She went on to say: "Not good!!!! I'm in a bad way.

"I pushed through Christmas for the kids but my god this isn't good!! Just want to be well now!

"Physically and emotionally exhausted! Merry f***ing Christmas."

She ended her updates by sharing with fans the timeline of her illness.

She said: "Started feeling really poorly on Sunday LAST WEEK!!!! How much longer???? It's been over a week!!"

Kerry, 41, had last week informed fans that she had tested positive for coronavirus on Wednesday, December 22, along with son Max, 13, and her mum Sue which effectively meant her family had to "cancel" their Christmas plans.

She had pulled out of planned performances in Sleeping Beauty at Oldham's Queen Elizabeth Hall earlier in the week after feeling unwell and waiting for her PCR test results.

Warrington-born Kerry had faced similar health troubles last Christmas when her entire family came down with coronavirus over the festive period.
