Kerry Katona urges daughters to get on Love Island and 'buy her a house'

Kerry Katona has revealed she wouldn't be bothered in the slightest if her daughters wanted to appear on Love Island, as it would give them chance to 'buy her a house.'

The former Atomic Kitten star, 39, spoke in response to Zoe Ball saying she would 'disown' her son Woody if he took part in the notorious ITV2 dating show.

Addressing the issue in her New! magazine column, Kerry mused: "It wouldn't bother me in the slightest if my Molly or Lilly wanted to give it a go.

"I'd actively encourage it! Get on the telly, make a fortune and buy me a house please, girls!"

Kerry, who has five kids in total, shares her eldest daughters Molly, 18, and Lilly, 16, with ex husband Brian McFadden.

Last month, she revealed that her daughter Heidi, the daughter of Mark Croft, has auditioned for The Voice Kids.

The 12-year-old sang True Colours by Cyndi Lauper at the Manchester auditions and is set to appear on screen when the show returns to ITV in the summer.

Kerry added that she a wouldn't have a problem with any of her offspring appearing on as ' Dani Dyer proved you don't have to have sex on TV.

"But I know my girls would never do that, I'd kill them if they did."

Dani and her then partner Jack Fincham won the ITV show back in 2018 after refusing to do any more than kiss while under the watch of cameras.

Despite her qualms about Love Island, Zoe Ball's son did appear on Channel 4 reality series The Voice last year.

The 18-year-old appeared on the reality TV show where contestants live in an apartment block together but they only communicate via technology, meaning players are able to pretend be other people, and they are rated on their popularity.

Woody, who made it to the final, said that while Zoe and Norman Cook were initially furious at his decision, he managed to talk them round.

Speaking to MirrorOnline, Woody said they immediately asked: "What? Why!?"

"Why would you go on reality TV?

"We've tried to protect you from the outside world!"

But Woody won over their support when he explained the premise of the show, and that it's "not like Love Island".
