Kerry Katona is to stand trial accused of failing to send her child to school.

Katona pleaded not guilty to the charge at Brighton Magistrates' Court on Wednesday.

The former Atomic Kitten singer and mother-of-five will return to the same court in May for a trial where she will legally represent herself.

The child cannot be named for legal reasons.

Katona is currently starring on E4's popular series Celebs Go Dating.
