Kerry Katona slams habit as 'dirty and disgusting' in GMB clash

Kerry Katona was left raging on Good Morning Britain today as she got involved in a fiery debate about a controversial subject.

Former Atomic Kitten star Kerry appeared on the show along popular culture commentator Nick Ede to speak about whether it was okay to wee in the sea.

Nick argued that it was absolutely fine to do and that lots of people did it on a trip to the seaside.

But Kerry was left horrified and slammed the practice as "dirty and disgusting."

Kerry, 40, told hosts Ranvir Singh and Kate Garraway about a traumatic experience she'd had as a child.

She said: "I went to the zoo once when I was about three and my mum made me go for a wee near the lion cage because the toilets were too far away.

"And as I was weeing a lion came over and sprayed all over me to mark his territory.

"I don't want to be in the sea and have a big fish or a shark come and wee all over me."

Kate assured her that there had been a study about if sharks were attracted to urine and "apparently they are not".

But Kerry said her main concern was for her children who might be swimming in the sea.

She said: "I'm more concerned about say my little girl is in the sea swimming and then someone next to her starts weeing, I think it's disgusting.

"We're polluting the world as it is, it takes two minutes to go and wee in the toilet.

"I don't want to be in the sea with someone next to me weeing."

Nick said that he would never wee in the sea nearby someone, especially a child, but he said he wasn't concerned about polluting the sea because "the sea is so big and everything is diluted in a massive way, so I think it's fine."
