Kerry Katona says 'tree trunks' legs make her feel 'sick' when looking in mirror

TV star Kerry Katona has opened up about her agony at feeling "sick" when looking at herself in the mirror.

The mum-of-five has taken part in a new TV experiment on E4 where celebrities attend nude therapy classes in the extreme show called The Big Celebrity Detox.

During the new programme, the celebrities are set numerous tasks including stripping off and meditating while looking at their bodies.

Other tasks get even more bizarre with Kerry revealing that she had to drink her own urine. However, it was the way her body looked which upset for the former Atomic Kitten singer throughout the process.

Kerry, 42, admitted that she regrets having surgery as recently as two years ago and she should have recovered properly after now feeling "sick" at her legs which she describes as "tree trunks".

Speaking to New magazine, Kerry said: "Even now, I look in the mirror and feel sick. I had surgery two years ago and went straight into work.

"I should never have done it and its f***ed my body up. My legs are like tree trunks - they're so swollen, so sore. So it's about learning to accept your body changing.

"I'm like a flat pack from IKEA, I've been sliced and diced that much. I need instructions!"

She added that moving back up north after living in around London during the early parts of her music and TV career has taken its toll on her body after falling out of routine with her workouts.

Kerry said: "I lived down south for 12 years, and I had my routine. I'm struggling with learning to love myself again, growing older and my body changing."

The OnlyFans creator confirmed that she signed up for the E4 show to build up confidence and to try and eradicate the "mental blockage" she had discovered around her views of her body.

Stars such as Love Island's Toby Aromolaran, Too Hot To Handle beauty Chloe Veitch, former MMA fighter Michael Page and Homes Under The Hammer presenter Martin Roberts will all feature on the programme.

TV personality David Potts and the late Queen's cousin Princess Olga also take part, while Megan Barton Hanson quit the show after only two days of filming.

A TV insider told The Sun: "The brave celebs will take on extreme wellness treatments that are unlike anything you have seen on TV before."
