Kerry Katona has admitted she would be "devastated" if her son Max was transgender.
The former Atomic Kitten singer, 39, explained she would be upset because the 12-year-old is her only boy.
She was writing in her new! magazine column about the news that Stereophonics singer Kelly Jones' daughter now identifies as a boy.
But though she'd find it difficult, she said she would support any of her five kids if they decided to transition.
Kerry explained: "It's an incredibly brave thing to talk about, especially publicly, and it got me thinking about what I’d do if one of my kids wanted to change their gender.
"Of course, I'd be supportive – I can't bear the thought of them being unhappy in the bodies they're in.
"In all honesty, if Max decided to become a girl I'd be devastated, just because he's my only boy, but of course I'd stand by him."
She added: "It's like if my Molly decided to become Michael – it'd be so hard to mourn the child you know but, deep down, all that matters is their happiness. And I wish Kelly's boy Colby all the best."
And Kerry said she wouldn't be in a position to judge her children having surgery because she's had cosmetic work done herself.
She continued: "Plus, if I can get my boobs and belly done because I’m not happy with myself, then why can't they change their sexual organs?!"

Kerry has five children: Molly, 18, and Lily-Sue, 17, from her first marriage to Brian McFadden.
She also has Heidi, 13, and Max, 12, with her second husband Mark Croft.
Her youngest child is six-year-old Dylan-Jorge - nicknamed DJ - with late third husband George Kay
