Kerry Katona has revealed how she navigates her friendship with both Katie Price and Peter Andre, without getting involved in their bitter spat.
The singer, 45, has been friends with the exes for over 20 years after they all met on “I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!”, where Katie and Peter's romance began.
After getting married in 2005, the pair split four years later, and have had a frosty relationship ever since, recently clashing over their two children, Princess, 18, and Junior, 20.
Kerry, once of Atomic Kitten, might be best friends with Katie, but remains close to Peter too, and has discussed how she balances the relationships.
Writing in her New! Magazine column this week, Kerry said that she recently met Peter's wife for the first time and introduced herself.
Kerry said: “I saw Emily at the Beauty Awards too. My daughter Heidi stayed at Pete and Emily's last week so from one mum to another I went and introduced myself.
“I've never met Emily before but we sat down and chatted away - what a lovely girl she is. I'm a very fair person and Katie knows this. I was texting Pete the other week and let Katie know.
“I haven't got beef with these people but Katie's always going to be my girl and I'm always going to have her back.”
Kerry’s daughter Heidi, 18, is good friends with Princess, the girls having known each other since infancy due to their mother’s close bond.
Princess and Junior live mainly with their dad, and earlier this year Princess was forced to deny rumours of a feud between herself and her mum.
Katie hit out at being deliberately excluded from her daughter’s TV series “The Princess Diaries”, claiming that Peter and his management team considered her 'trash'.
Katie expressed her frustrations at being “disrespected and disregarded” - and now both Peter and Princess's stepmother Emily have pulled out from the second season of the show following the backlash.
Speaking on her podcast last month, the former glamour model bemoaned the lack of control she has as a mother, making a pointed dig at her ex as she complained about her parenting rights.
Katie said: “If you had someone dictating what your kids do and they won't give you a say, it's like taking your mother's instinct.”
