Kerry Katona left 'crying in pain' after suffering injury on stage during show performance

Kerry Katona revealed she was 'crying in pain' after injuring herself on stage during her performance.

The star took on the role of Ugly Sister Botox for the pantomime Cinderella during the Christmas period last year.

Unfortunately, the former Atomic Kitten singer, 42, suffered an injury during the last performance.

"I was walking off the wings and I fell down a platform after tripping over," Kerry explained.

"I really hurt my foot. I was crying in pain."

Her 19-year-old daughter Lilly - who she shares with ex Brian McFadden - thankfully stepped in for her last minute and was 'amazing'.

Kerry wrote for new magazine: "She literally had five minutes to get changed and get on stage. I was blown away by her. Thank God she was able to save the day!"

The singer had a tough Christmas as she recently revealed she was recovering from the mystery illness that 'ruined' her Christmas.

Last week, she said she had never been so poorly' in her life and had spent the last few weeks on courses of antibiotics.

The mum-of-five explained that doctors believe it could have been a new variant of Covid that has yet to be identified.

However, all her lateral flow tests have come back negative.

Kerry first discussed her illness over the festive period - telling her fans on New Year's Eve: "I am sick to death of moaning and complaining about being poorly. It has literally ruined my whole panto experience. It's ruined my Christmas."

Kerry - who was joined by daughter DJ, eight, in the video - said: "I had Covid. I cracked on doing three-day shows".

She explained she felt "amazing" on antibiotics - but admitted that she has felt ill again in the days since Christmas.

"It's really really got me down because I am normally like the person who's full of morale and keeps the energy up, and all I'm doing is moaning and complaining," she added.

Writing in her column for OK! magazine, Kerry reveals she's got the January blues thanks to her recent health woes.

"I finally feel like I’m back on the mend after being struck down with a virus," the star begins writing. "All of my lateral flow tests were negative, but every doctor I spoke to said they believed it could be a new variant of Covid that hasn’t been identified yet."
