Kerry Katona in 'awful pain' and can barely stand amid fears she has endometriosis

Kerry Katona has opened up about her "awful pain" saying she is struggling to "stand up straight."

Kerry, 39 , was in hospital last month with a mystery illness and she's now revealed she thinks she could be suffering from endometriosis.

Endometriosis is a condition where tissue similar to the lining of the womb starts to grow in other places, such as the ovaries and fallopian tubes, and it can be extremely painful.

Writing in her New! magazine column, out this week, Kerry said: "You may have seen me out and about looking very uncomfortable - it's because I'm still in such awful pain with my back. I can barely stand up straight. I'm sick of crying about it, but it's really restricting me.

"I'm going to a clinic later this month to see a gynae specialist, but early indications suggest it's endometriosis, which can take years to diagnose."

In October Kerry kept fans updated with her hospital stay - but failed to tell her followers why she was in there.

Former Atomic Kitten star Kerry posted a photo of herself with a cannula in her arm and told fans she was "still in the hospital".

She then posted a photo of her boyfriend Ryan Mahoney at her bedside, captioning the photo "Bless him! Keeping me company."

Mum-of-five Kerry posted a further snap wearing a hospital gown and told her followers: "Still in!!! Still no news!"

What is endometriosis?

She posted a series of snaps saying she was enjoying watching Good Morning Britain and that it was cheering her up, but later she shared a tearful selfie, again telling fans she was still in her hospital bed.
