Kerry Katona feels 'incredibly empowered' as she showcases abs in sexy red underwear

Kerry Katona says she feels "empowered" for the "first time" in her life.

The former Atomic Kitten singer, 40, took to her Instagram page on Sunday to share that she is "feeling fit and funky" as she slipped her trim and toned figure into a red lace bra and matching knickers.

Cutting a striking appearance, mother of five Kerry oozed confidence in the offering where she told about her wellbeing improving ever since she began dedicating herself to a healthy lifestyle with the help of her personal trainer fiancé Ryan Mahoney.

Opening up on her mindset, Kerry captioned the image: "Feeling fit and funky with @mfitofficial for all info links for ALL my endeavours are in my linktree... happy Sunday people let me make it clear how incredibly empowered and strong I feel standing here!

"I’m in full control for the first time in my whole life! #strongwomen OF link is in my linktree too #superproud #fitness #wellbeing #mentalhealth."

Kerry was showered with kind compliments under the snap.

"Looking fit and healthy," typed a fan.

Others added: "Absolutely stunning Kerry" and "Loving the six pack."

Celebs on the Farm star Kerry has been on a journey to better health and has not smoked a cigarette since January last year.

Kerry believes the decision to ditch smoking could have saved her life - when she suffered from Covid-19.

“I’d been smoking since I was 14,” Kerry told.

“If I was still a smoker, this would have been different. I had the worst cough ever. I felt like I had a mask on my lungs. I was coughing so much I was being sick. I knew when the virus left me, because I’d coughed that much it was like coughing up a furball.”

Kerry, who still feels lethargic from the virus, is grateful she decided to pack up fags.

“There was one cigarette left in my packet on January 1,” she added. “I went to my back door, I smoked it, flicked it and went: ‘I’m done.’ I’ve not had a puff since. Then the pandemic came in March. I said: ‘Somebody is looking after me.’ It makes me feel like I’ve got proper superpowers.

“I’m so lucky and so blessed. Not everyone has had that kind of an outcome.”
