Coronavirus: Kerry Katona claims supermarket staff stopped her buying extra tissues and wet wipes for her five kids

Kerry Katona has complained the coronavirus rationing is "getting scary now" after she went to the supermarket to top up on toilet roll and there was none left.

The former Atomic Kitten star was forced to buy tissues and wet wipes instead, but staff at the checkout only let her buy two boxes as supply is in short demand.

Kerry, 39, was unimpressed as she has five children so there are seven people in her home.

She took to Instagram to share a video of her with her children staring in horror at the empty toilet roll aisles.

Kerry Katona said staff didn't let her buy enough tissues for her household of seven people (Instagram)

She wrote: "This is getting crazy!!!!! I actually just needed to do a food shop and actually buy loo roll as there is 7 of us in our house hold!

"There was nothing!! Soooo I bought lots of Kleenex tissues and when I got to the till they took them off me and said I was only allowed to buy two and took the wet wipes off me too!!!

"I was only allowed the two boxes of Kleenex!!! This is actually getting scary!!"

Kerry recently appeared on ITV's Loose Women, where she said that she suffered a panic attack after fearing she wouldn't be able to return home from her holiday amid the coronavirus pandemic.

The 39-year-old appeared on Loose Women with daughter Molly as the panel pointed out that she looked very tanned.

Reality TV star Kerry said that she had just been on holiday in the Maldives but was left panicking after believing that her flights were cancelled and she wouldn't be able to return home.

Revealing that she had been on holiday with her hunky boyfriend and personal trainer Ryan Mahoney, she said: "I had a bit of a panic attack the last few days [about] not being able to get home to the kids."

However, she added jokingly: "Within five minutes they were doing my head in!"

Her daughter Molly later spoke about moving out of the house at 16 to go to school in Ireland and described Kerry as her "best friend".

She also opened up about the bullying she and her siblings had been subjected to at school.

"I think it's just something you have to deal with," she said. "As long as you know the truth."

Probed on whether she would be joining Love Island this year, Molly replied with an emphatic "no".

She then confirmed that she didn't want to go into reality TV and that she'd "leave that up to her mum".

*Loose Women airs weekdays at 12.30pm on ITV
