Kerry Katona has taken aim at Prime Minister Boris Johnson and the ruling Conservative Party Government following the allegations illegal Christmas parties happened last year while the vast majority of the UK was in lockdown.
The 41-year-old singer turned adult photograph model has this week turned her skills to political analysis and she is far from happy with the way the UK Government has been behaving.
Kerry – and many others in the UK – have been in dismay over the past couple of weeks since it first emerged that illegal parties may have been hosted by Government Departments in December last year when lockdowns were in force and members of the public risked fines of £10k for hosting events.
Restrictions at the time effectively cancelled Christmas for 2020 thanks to Government guidelines – and there are fears celebrations for 2021 could be impacted amid speculation measures are poised to be implemented in response to the omicron variant of Covid.

But with reports that illegal parties were held – potentially at Number 10 itself – many think they will tell the government to get stuffed like a proverbial Christmas turkey if they try to bring in new rules that there is no proof the government will follow themselves.
In her column for new! magazine, Kerry writes: “The government is facing a huge backlash after claims that a Christmas party was held in No 10 during lockdown last year. What a p**s take!
“I have no trust in the government whatsoever and I don’t believe anything they say. How are we supposed to follow rules when they don’t even follow them themselves?

“I have no faith in them – they’re the biggest laughing stock in the world. The way Boris Johnson has handled the whole pandemic is a disgrace.”
A furious backlash was unleashed against the Government earlier this month when details of an alleged party held at Downing Street in December last year were leaked to the press.
The Prime Minister’s then-press secretary Allegra Stratton was captured on camera joking about party allegations during a press conference rehearsal in which she said: "This fictional party was a business meeting and it was not socially distanced."
It remains unclear if this was an admission of a party existing or a case of a joke told in bad taste – however 41-year-old Allegra has since quit her role as a political aid in the aftermath of the video’s emergence.
The outrage around alleged parties held by Government officials comes amid growing hysteria about the omicron variant of Covid-19.

Conflicting reports from around the world have shown Governments slamming on the breaks to returns to normal lives to battle the new variant at the same time as some experts stepping forward to claim the new strain of the virus is “mild” and that reactions have been disproportionate.
There are concerns that should the UK Government attempt to introduce tougher restrictions relating to omicron they will have thrown away their own authority due to the allegations about 2020 parties held during tough lockdowns.
Even members of the Conservative government are unhappy with the proposed new restrictions – with as many as 79 MP expected to reject ‘Plan B’ restrictions in a Parliament vote expected to take place today.
