Kerry Katona bedridden after revealing body has 'shut down' with arthritis pain

Kerry Katona has revealed her ongoing health battle which has left her struggling to move and "bedbound".

The OnlyFans star has confirmed that she was diagnosed with arthritis and that she's been experiencing "severe pain" in her back and hip.

The former Atomic Kitten lifted the lid on her condition, revealing that she was in so much pain this week, she was unable to get out of bed.

The 51-year-old mum-of-five was forced to take time off from work due to her ongoing health condition, reports the Mirror.

Writing in her OK! Magazine column today, Kerry said: “I’ve had a rare couple of days off work this week, but I’ve been bed bound. I’m in agony with my back and my hips – I have arthritis in my hips.

“I’ve suffered with the pain for a long time, but it’s been worse over the past few days. It’s like my body knows I have time off work so it shuts down.

“I think it’s because I’m always on the go and running off adrenaline. But it’s been nice to have a bit of a break, despite the pain.”

Only weeks ago, Kerry revealed that she had been walking around on a broken foot without realising after being in "agony" for months.

And despite the pain - after she fell over during filming for a TV show last year - the former pop star was none the wiser to the extent of her injury until lately.

She has also recently been diagnosed with a condition named lipidaemia, which has caused an abnormal build-up of fat in her legs, hips, bottom and sometimes arms.

Those with lipidaemia can find themselves getting pain, tenderness or heaviness in the affected limbs, and you may bruise easily.

Just last week, Kerry updated fans on her ailments while exercising on a treadmill, following the arthritis diagnosis in both of her hips.

She revealed that she had fractured her coccyx and had suffered a bulging disc, leading to a lot of pain.

“So I've been out of action because I hurt my back and my hips. So I have arthritis in my hips. Bear with me.” [sic]

"I get these shooting pains in my legs like I'm getting an electric shock. And my god it really really hurts."
