Kerry GAA club games to be streamed live on pay-per-view when action resumes

Kerry GAA club games are set to be streamed live on pay-per-view when matches start back, according to reports.

The GAA could reopen pitches by the end of June and start County Championships by the end of July - if the coronavirus remains under control.

Meanwhile, designated walking tracks at club grounds will reopen next week - on June 8.

The Irish Examiner reports that irrespective of games being played behind closed doors, Kerry GAA will charge a small fee to watch some club fixtures online.

Kerry county board chairman Tim Murphy told the paper: "If and when games resume, we'd be in a position to offer a streaming service for a small fee, just to get our games out there to the broader community. Irrespective of Covid-19, we were going to progress with this."

Mr Murphy added that the Kerry County Board are looking at an operational loss of between €350k and €400k for the year if no more games are played in 2020.
