Kerry will make a long-awaited return to competitive action against Monaghan in Division 1 of the Allianz Football League on Saturday, October 17.
Peter Keane's will travel to Inniskeen in second place in the table behind only Galway and with a great chance of lifting the crown.
Attention will then swiftly turn to the Munster Championship and a semi-final showdown with Cork at Pairc Ui Chaoimh.
This year, of course, there is no back door Championship, it's straight knockout. So Kingdom fans will be hoping all roads to an All-Ireland final in Croke Park on December 19.
