Kerry expecting David Moran and Jack Barry returns for Meath clash

David Moran and Jack Barry will return for Kerry's final Super 8s clash with Meath in Navan.

The influential Moran (foot) and Barry (ankle) were absent from yesterday's draw with Donegal at Croke Park.

"David will be fine for Meath, hopefully," said Kingdom boss Peter Keane afterwards. "We lost Gavin White on top of it, and throw in Jack Barry as well.

"We were a few bodies down so we're hopeful that we'll be at full tilt (against Meath). David got a bit of a bang last weekend against Mayo."

Keane lamented the fact that Donegal were awarded a 52nd minute penalty for what looked a clear foul by Stephen White on Daire O'Baoill.

"I felt the penalty was pretty tough, I thought he met him body on body, like," commented Keane.

"To me, looking where I saw it, it's very hard and I'm not being critical of a referee, sometimes you're looking and saying, 'Oh Jaysus, how did that happen?'. I felt he stood him up."

In a winning position in the final minute of injury time, Kerry conceded a free that was converted by Michael Murphy. But a draw would be enough for them in Navan.

"Relieved or disappointed? A bit of both for us," said Keane.

"You're coming up, hoping that at the end of the day you would have four points out of the two games - you have three, so look it's better than two.

"I thought we fought like hell towards the end. There was a never say die attitude by us.

"And I thought there were a couple of frees that went against us that were bordering on not being frees, and every time we were getting ahead they were getting back some way or another, but I thought we fought and fought well".
