The first Kerb street food market to open in three years has launched today in Farringdon, as Cowcross Yards returns.

Kerb will operate a lunchtime market every Thursday from today at the site, which sits just off Cowcross Street itself. Eight street food traders will cook, with food from across Colombia, Nepal, Venezuela, South East Asia, Spain and the Philippines.

Those trading include the lockdown-born Rice Bandits, which serves Thai; Spanish Tapas Bravas (not to be confused with Bravas Tapas); the Venezuelan Papelón, which promises fresh, smashed tortillas known as cachapas; fried-chicken specialists CraicBird; Filipino barbecue joint Filigrillz; Filili, serving momo, or mini-dumplings; the Columbian Los Gordos, said to be particularly good for tacos; and another barbecue spot, Meatstop.

The market will open from 11.30am—2.30pm each week.

The opening comes as Kerb marks its tenth birthday; the Cowcross Yards opening marks their sixth market opening. The group also operates the all-day, all-week Seven Dials Market in Covent Garden.
