The ambulance was called at midnight when she suffered labour pain and required urgent hospitalization.
The ambulance was sent from Kottathara tribal specialty hospital and emergency medical technician Jinto Jose and driver KM Lineesh took it to the remote tribal hamlet with great risk. But the ambulance couldn't reach the hamlet due to the damaged road. So they carried the woman on a stretcher to the ambulance.
On the way to the hospital, when the ambulance reached Cheerakadavu her condition became very serious and they couldn't move ahead. The ambulance was stopped in the middle of the forest where it was turned into a temporary labour room. The mother and infant were taken to Kottathara hospital where they were admitted.
