THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The hard work of the doctors as well as the health system helped the state keep the fatality rate at 0.4%, health, family welfare, and women and child development minister Veena George said on Wednesday.
Speaking in the backdrop of Doctors’ Day, which falls on July 1, the minister said for the past one and a half years the doctors have been battling the pandemic ignoring their own health as well as that of their family members.
Touching upon the rising incidents of attacks on doctors, she said it is the responsibility of the government and the society to protect them.
