KOCHI: Director P Balachandrakumar, whose revelations led to Crime Branch registering a conspiracy case against actor Dileep and others, has reportedly released more audio clips to back his allegations.
Two more audio clips became public on Saturday. In the first one a person can be heard saying that ‘Oraaley thattaan theerumanikubol nammal eppazhum oru groupil ittu thattiyekkanam,’ (When we are deciding to do away with someone, he should be killed in a group). The new case against the accused was registered for allegedly conspiring to endanger the lives of police officers who investigated the actor rape case.
In the second audio clip another person can be heard saying that ‘for a year no records should be created, phones shouldn’t be used.’
Even as the genuineness of these audio clips is yet to be verified formally, Balachandrakumar told the media that the first clip refers to a directive given by actor Dileep to his brother Anoop. He alleged that this refers to a plan to murder someone while he/she is part of a group of people to avoid suspicion about him/her being the sole target.
Balachandrakumar explained the second audio clip as a reference made by Dileep’s brother Anoop about not using phones to avoid tracking. Based on these audio clips, he has reiterated that what has happened was a proper conspiracy.
The bail petition moved by actor Dileep and others in the new case is under the consideration of Kerala High Court. Apart from Dileep (alias P Gopalakrishnan), other petitioners who have sought anticipatory bail in the case are his brother P Sivakumar (alias Anoop) and brother-in-law TN Suraj.
Earlier, the prosecution had alleged before the court that the petitioners were not cooperating with the investigation. As per the directive of the court, Dileep and others were interrogated recently for nearly 33 hours over three days.
On Friday, the high court had said it will pronounce the order on the anticipatory bail filed by actor Dileep on Monday. After hearing the version of Dileep and other accused extensively on Thursday, justice Gopinath P completed hearing the prosecution’s arguments on Friday and reserved the case for orders.
