Praseeda later told reporters that the investigation officials sought certain clarifications on the audio clips of her conversations with BJP leaders which she had provided during the first recording of statement by the crime branch team.
Praseeda said that she had handed over the mobile phone and the audio clips of the phone calls to the police earlier.
Wayanad crime branch DSP Manoj Kumar R told media that the investigation was progressing in the right direction.
The investigation team has also collected the CCTV recordings from the homestay at Manimala in Sulthan Bathery where Janu had stayed during the election campaign. Praseeda had alleged that BJP district general secretary Prashanth Malavayal had handed over Rs 25 lakh to Janu at the homestay.
It is learnt that the probe team will collect evidence from the hotel in which Janu stayed at Thiruvananthapuram to verify the allegations levelled by Praseeda that Surendran had handed over Rs 10 lakh to Janu at the hotel.
