Kentucky Wildcats QB Terry Wilson Jr. ruled out for the season

Kentucky Wildcats QB Terry Wilson Jr. has been ruled out for the 2019 season with a torn Patellar tendon. Wilson suffered the injury against Eastern Michigan. Since he didn’t play in more than four games, Wilson may be able to redshirt this season. Matt Jones reported the unfortunate news:

Kentucky’s season gets much tougher with the Wildcats facing the Florida Gators this weekend. Wilson’s injury makes the already weak-looking SEC East even thinner. He joins South Carolina QB Jake Bentley as SEC East quarterbacks to be ruled out for the season.

The Kentucky Wildcats travel to Athens to face the Georgia Bulldogs on October 19th. The match-up is earlier than usual. Sawyer Smith is projected to be the starting Wildcats QB going forward. Smith threw for two touchdowns last week.
