Kentucky says Knox's eligibility not threatened by report

After an internal review, the University of Kentucky has concluded that no player's eligibility is threatened by the Yahoo Sports story that implicated UK in the ongoing FBI investigation of college basketball.

"Based on the available information, (UK) determined that there were no eligibility issues or rules violations for any current student-athletes or staff related to Friday's report," the school said in a statement released Saturday. "Kentucky will continue to work diligently with both the NCAA and the Southeastern Conference."

The Yahoo Sports report implicated one current UK player, Kevin Knox, and two former UK players, Bam Adebayo and Nerlens Noel.

The report mentioned UK among at least 20 Division I programs and more than 25 players allegedly involved in what it called an "underground recruiting operation."

Earlier, officials from Duke and LSU said that their internal reviews had revealed no eligibility issues for its players.
