Kentucky lands commitment from Moeller (Cincinnati) CB Carrington Valentine

Moeller senior cornerback Carrington Valentine made his college decision on Wednesday, choosing to verbally commit to the Kentucky Wildcats, tweeting out a video that announced his choice.

The 6-foot, 178 pounder saw action on both sides of the ball, and occasionally as a kick returner for the Crusaders.

Valentine had 16 total tackles and an interception on defense last season and caught five passes for 83 yards on offense. He also returned six kickoffs for 118 yards.

As a sophomore in 2017, Valentine had 10 total tackles, nine receptions for 150 yards and a touchdown and returned 12 kickoffs for 233 yards.

He is the No. 959 player nationally and ranked No. 35 in Ohio, according to 247sports.com rankings.

In addition to the Wildcats, Valentine had offers from Cincinnati, Michigan State, Louisville and Pittsburgh among others.

Valentine joins Fairfield running back Jutahn McClain as a local commitment to the Wildcats.
