Kentucky edge rusher Josh Allen will visit Giants

Kentucky’s Josh Allen, an edge rusher who has been compared to Hall of Famer Derrick Thomas by some scouts, will visit the New York Giants before the draft.

Allen reportedly met with the Giants this week along with several other teams. The Wildcats’ star is expected to be selected in the top five of the upcoming NFL Draft. The Giants have the sixth overall selection.

Allen is 6-feet-5 and weighs 262 pounds. He is a local product having grown up in Montclair, N.J. Allen was the SEC Defensive Player of the Year in 2018 and has won the Bronko Nagurski Trophy, the Chuck Bednarik Award and the Lott Trophy.

Allen is considered one of the “Big Three” defensive players at the top of this draft along with Alabama’s Quinnen Williams and Nick Bosa of Ohio State.

It would take one of teams selecting in front of the Giants to make a colossal error for Allen to fall into their laps.
