The Allotment has been set up by acclaimed multi-skilled furniture designer Martino Gamper and his 'design activists' Platform 2 from the Royal College of Art. Opening on Friday at 8 Egerton Gardens Mews the painfully cosmopolitan yet tasty-sounding menu features Portugese spinach toasts with mozzarella cheese & chorizo, Korean dumplings and Dutch seed cheese. The decor sounds like it may reach our organic standards, with a bar made of tree branches and grass growing from the stairway walls. Can't wait to pull on my wellies and get down there...
