Kenny Miller wanted by Partick Thistle as ex-Rangers striker prepares to exit Dundee

Partick Thistle are ready to swoop for striker Kenny Miller to lead their promotion bid with the veteran set to quit Dundee.

The 39-year-old former Rangers star’s poised to terminate the final year of his Dens Park deal a month after missing out on the manager’s job.

New Dee boss James McPake had said it wouldn’t be an issue going forward but Miller sees his future elsewhere.

Now his old Scotland and Celtic team-mate Caldwell wants him to spearhead the Jags’ push for Championship promotion next season.

Miller’s departure from Dens will also free the club of one of their higher earners allowing McPake – who is already in talks with freed Thistle striker Kris Doolan – to strengthen his own squad.
