Kenny Miller questions Liel Abada's Celtic squad status despite 'wonderful season' so far

Kenny Miller has revealed he "can't believe" Liel Abada doesn't start for Celtic after he put in a man of the match performance against St Mirren at the weekend.

The former Celtic and Rangers striker heaped praise on the Hoops player who scored one in Paisley and had a huge influence on his team coming from 1-0 down to win 5-1. Abada started on the bench again for Ange Postecoglou's side but he will be hoping to secure a starting berth against Hearts when Robbie Neilson's men head to Parkhead on Wednesday evening.

The Israeli international has started only 16 games this term – but he has blasted 12 goals and laid on another seven. Miller believes Abada has had a "wonderful season", but due to the quality levels in the Celtic squad he will probably miss out on a starting eleven place in the league encounter against the Jambos. Celtic will be hoping to keep their 100 per cent record league record at Parkhead this season, however Neilson will be hoping cement third place.

Miller told Go radio: "I can't believe he doesn't play, he's had a wonderful season. For a young player he has had a big big impact on that Celtic team. See when he comes on he's as hungry as ever to go and actually impress, and score and assist.

"He is super positive in his play, his body language is always really good. He'll be sitting on the bench next week probably but the same thing happens again."
