Kenny McLean toasts Norwich City title in classic Glasgow fashion with a bottle of MadDog 2020

You can take the boy out Cambuslang but ...

The old phrase is ringing true for Scotland international Kenny McLean as he let his hair down at Norwich City 's promotion party.

The former Aberdeen star, a pivotal part of the Canaries' team who clinched the Championship title on Sunday, was filmed clutching an (almost empty) bottle of MadDog 2020 as he declared himself the 'Mayor of Norwich' in a civic reception for the squad on Monday.

McLean and his team mates got a shot of the town bell as they were presented to a crowd of thousands of adoring fans on bank Holiday Monday in sunny Norfolk.

The 27-year-old midfielder even donned a Mayor's hat for the occasion although he looked more interested in clutching his bottle of MD!

McLean is celebrating after a brilliant end to the season on a personal level following his switch from Aberdeen a year ago.

The former St Mirren ace notched four goals in 23 appearances after spending the majority of the first half of the season out injured.

He also provided a brilliant assist for ex-Celtic striker Teemu Pukki in Sunday's crucial win over Aston Villa.

Fellow Scotland internationals Grant Hanley and Jordan Rhodes are also among the celebratory Norwich party.

How the English Championship play-off race is unfolding and what it means for Scottish connections
