Kenny McLean on how Celtic flop Teemu Pukki's 'unbelievable' ability left him floored

Kenny McLean has saluted Norwich City's promotion hero Teemu Pukki and admits the Celtic flop's skills have left him stunned.

The Finnish striker has bagged 29 goals this season while becoming Daniel Farke's key man as the Canaries blazed a trail in the Championship.

It's a remarkable turnaround after Pukki endured a wretched time in Glasgow and often appeared overawed during his 14-month spell with Celtic .

The forward managed just nine goals in 37 appearances and Ronny Deila deemed him surplus to requirements as he sanctioned a switch to Brondby in 2014.

Teemu Pukki has enjoyed a fine season at Norwich (PA)

But Pukki rediscovered his scoring touch in Denmark and his brilliant displays earned him a chance of redemption with Norwich .

McLean joined from Aberdeen last summer and admits the form of the Championship Player of the Year has been one of the biggest surprises since his move.

He told BBC Sportsound: "Everybody from Scotland just talks him down.

"Honestly, I could not believe the way this guy plays.

"I just didn't see him being so quick, so sharp and his movement is unbelievable in the box.

"He's got 29 goals, as well as 13 assists, his contribution has been incredible."

Norwich can complete their remarkable season by sealing the Championship title by securing a point against Aston Villa on Sunday.
