Kenny Goins signs with Italian team Pallacanestro Trapani

I hope Kenny Goins likes Italian food!

Goins announced on Instagram that he has signed with Pallacanestro Trapani, a professional basketball franchise based in Sicily. Trapani plays in the second division of Italian basketball, Serie A2. Trapani has finished in the middle of the pack in Serie A2 since 2014-15, their first season in the division.

And thanks to MSU Twitter legend Matt Sheehan for bringing the news to our attention.

Goins will join former Bucknell player Cameron Ayers on the Italian squad.

After an up-and-down first three seasons for MSU, Goins, a former walk-on, broke out his senior season averaging 7.9 points and 8.9 rebounds per game while becoming a threat from three-point distance. Goins of course hit one of the biggest shots in school history, a late three to send MSU to the Final Four over top-seeded Duke.

Best of luck to Kenny in Sicily!
