Kenny Goins finally gets minutes with Denver Summer League team, plays well

It took four games but former Michigan State forward Kenny Goins finally got playing time for the Denver Nuggets Summer League squad and he took advantage of the opportunity with a nice night of basketball. In 18 minutes he was able to put up 8 points (2-for-4 from three), 2 assists, and a steal and a rebound. In limited time, this is all we could really hope for from Goins as it looks like he will need to either climb his way through the G-League or head overseas to continue his pro career.

It was great to see Goins hit the floor, especially after Nick Ward finally had a breakout game recently for the Hawks. In addition, Miles Bridges has been impressing in his second year at Summer League, throwing down a filthy dunk yesterday for the Hornets.

Take a look at Goins prettiest shot of the night:

We’ll keep everyone updated if anything changes about Goins pro status.
