There's no question that Kenny Deuchar was a decent goalscorer in his day.
Dubbed 'The Good Doctor' by Soccer Saturday host Jeff Stelling due to his scoring feats for Gretna, the striker hit 56 league goals in two seasons as the tiny border club surged up the league.
By 2008 though Gretna were in dire financial trouble, and the practicing GP knew he had to look elsewhere.
He started by sending his CV to clubs across the world, and eventually earned a move to Real Salt Lake in MLS.

And, fine goalscorer though he was, it's probably no surprise to learn that Barcelona weren't among the interested clubs.
Deuchar revealed on the Football Daft Podcast : “I only heard back from three teams out of about 200-odd emails.
“But there was one other team that got back to me.
“My mate said ‘I dare you to send one to Barcelona’.
"I’ve got the email anyway and I actually emailed Barcelona.
“I got an email back from their scouting department to say: 'we’ve got an extensive scouting network. If we were interested, we would already ken about you'.”
After just one season in the US Deuchar returned to Scotland with St Johnstone.
He later had spells at Falkirk, Livingston, Stenhousemuir and Arbroath before retiring to focus on his GP practice.
