Kenny Dalglish explains key factor that will decide Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah's futures

Liverpool legend Kenny Dalglish has played down speculation linking Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah with an exit from the club.

There have been some suggestions recently that the two players are ready to move on and seek a new challenge, with Mane having spent four years at Anfield and Salah three years.

The two were also involved in a heated exchange of words during a win against Burnley earlier in the season, leading to suggestions that they do not get on off the pitch.

Both forwards have been linked with the likes of Real Madrid and Barcelona, but speaking to the Hat-Trick Podcast Dalglish said he does not think either player will be leaving until the club are prepared to sell them.

"For other clubs to think they can get Mane - unless, and it doesn't look like it, unless they're (Mane, Salah and Roberto Firmino) unhappy being at Liverpool which none of them seem to be," Dalglish said.

"Eventually, like everything else, they'll change the team around a little bit, but I cannot see them selling those players. Until, and unless, Liverpool want them out rather than they want out."

Both Mane and Salah have been in sensational form this season during the Reds' incredible Premier League campaign, with Mane scoring 14 and recording seven assists and Salah netting 16 times and creating six assists.

But Dalglish was also keen to give credit to Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson, and appears hugely impressed with the midfielder's leadership skills.

"He came through at the beginning and he's been fantastic for the football club, not just on the pitch, but off the pitch," Dalglish added. "[As a] leader, a fantastic example. In the dressing room, he'll be strong.

"There's more that goes on with Jordan than what you actually see, but what you see on the football pitch is really exciting."
