Celtic legend Kenny Dalglish believes Patryk Klimala will prove to be money well spent in the race to secure nine-in-a-row.
The Polish striker arrived from Jagiellonia Białystok in a £3.5m deal earlier this week and the 21-year-old made his competitive debut in Saturday's 2-1 Scottish Cup win over Partick Thistle.
Dalglish is convinced the jet-heeled attacker is the perfect man to reignite Celtic's title bid and believes Klimala has the qualities needed to become a roaring success at Parkhead.
Hoops boss Neil Lennon insists his side are far from finished in the transfer market with 12 days remaining before the window shuts.
Bnei Yehuda midfielder Ismaila Soro is on the verge of securing a £2m deal and the Irishman has hinted that two more players could follow.
And Daglish reckons his former team have found the perfect player to dovetail alongside key Celtic man Odsonne Edouard in the fight to keep rivals Rangers at bay.
He told the Sunday Post: "The early indications are that the Poland U21 striker has quite a bit about him and there is genuine optimism about what he will help in the next six months and beyond.
"By all accounts, Klimala will push Odsonne Edouard and is regarded as an able deputy for the the talented French striker.
"That's exactly what the Hoops needed in this window as they attempt to hold off Rangers to win nine-in-a-row."
And Dalglish is certain Leigh Griffiths could still have a vital role to play after the Scotland international returned to form at Firhill.
He added: "I hope 2020 signals the start of his comeback and there are plenty of good times ahead for him.
"If he can recapture his form and goalscoring habits, then he will be an asset for any football club in Scotland and the national team."
