Kenny Clark, Tony Brown make PFF’s Team of the Week for Week 2

The Green Bay Packers placed a defensive player and a special teamer on Pro Football Focus’ “Team of the Week” in Week 2.

Interior defensive lineman Kenny Clark and special teamer Tony Brown were both selected by PFF as top players at their respective positions.

The Packers hung on to beat the Minnesota Vikings by a 21-16 final on Sunday at Lambeau Field, improving their record to 2-0.

Another standout performance from the defense, anchored by Clark, led the way after Aaron Rodgers and the offense scored touchdowns on their first three possessions.

Clark dominated Vikings rookie center Garrett Bradbury in the passing game, tallying seven total pressures, including a strip sack of Kirk Cousins. He also produced at least two run stops and drew two different holding penalties on Bradbury, both of which killed drives. Another thing to note: Clark was on the sideline when Dalvin Cook ripped off his 75-yard run in the second quarter.

Brown was active for Shawn Mennenga’s special teams, blocking an extra point attempt and helping close down space for returners as a gunner on coverage teams. He played 20 snaps on special teams.

The Packers also got terrific performances from receiver Davante Adams, who had seven first-down receptions, and cornerback Jaire Alexander, who disrupted at least five different passing attempts. Right tackle Bryan Bulaga was dominant at times against Vikings defensive end Danielle Hunter.
