Sean Dyche had an interesting response to the latest speculation linking Burnley with a move for Nottingham Forest defender Joe Worrall.
The Clarets have been heavily linked with Worrall during this summer transfer window.
According to reports, Forest value the centre-back at £12million, which is said to be double what Burnley are willing to pay.
Dyche was asked about Worrall at a pre-match press conference on Tuesday.
The manager, who started his playing career at Forest before moving on to Chesterfield, gave a tongue-in-cheek answer - namechecking Reds legends Kenny Burns and Larry Lloyd in the process.
"On a list - you can keep throwing them in. Link us with as many as possible," said Dyche.
"I think we were linked with Kenny Burns as well to see if he was going to come out of retirement! Some centre-half mind you, I will say that.
"Larry Lloyd, I think, as well. Good combination, apparently, them two."
Burnley are also said to be considering a move for Watford's Craig Dawson - if they sell in-demand James Tarkowski this summer.
"Well, there are reports of us being in for a lot of players over a lot of time," said Dyche.
"Over eight years, if you look at the ones that actually come true, there ain't that many, trust me - usually because they cost money, so that's them out in the first place!
"With James Tarkowski, I'm not planning on anything else other than him being here."
