Kendrick Perkins hasn’t lost faith in the Thunder vs. Trail Blazers

Former Oklahoma City Thunder center Kendrick Perkins looks to still have some faith in his old team. Facing a 3-1 series deficit to the Portland Trail Blazers, the Thunder have an uphill battle to come back.

The Trail Blazers took Game 4 on Sunday behind the continued stellar play of Damian Lillard and C.J. McCollum. Portland even got a series-high from Al-Farouq Aminu in the win, too.

But, while the Thunder face long odds to advance, Perkins had some words of encouragement for OKC following Game 4 on Sunday: He still believes they have a chance against Portland.

Prior to the playoffs began, Perkins offered some praise for Russell Westbrook and believed his old teammate was due for a dominant performance in Game 1. Westbrook had 24 points in that game.

Perkins spent four years with the Thunder, from 2011 to 2015, and became a fan favorite during his time with the team. He has often praised his former team and spoken highly of past teammates.

While Perkins certainly still believes, the Thunder will have a difficult time winning Game 5 in Portland. The team has not played well on the road so far this series and will be playing in front of a raucous crowd at Moda Center.

Portland is favored by 3.5 points on Tuesday.
