Kendall Jenner trolled over ‘raw and personal’ announcement

Kendall Jenner was blasted online after her “raw and personal” announcement turned out to be an advert for acne cream.

Fans of the supermodel were left outraged after momager Kris Jenner teased that her “brave and vulnerable daughter” would be sharing a “personal” announcement.

But the big reveal turned out to be Jenner becoming the face of Proactiv skin care.

As part of the minute-long advert, Jenner touches on the ridicule she faced following last year’s Golden Globes, where she was trolled over her spots.

In the video, Jenner said: “I remember last year I was at an award show, I was very excited I had never been before, I remember getting ready that day getting my makeup on. I got on the carpet, felt really good about myself, I loved my dress and my hair and my makeup was so beautiful.”

She added: “Then I remember going online and seeing all the horrible things people were saying about me and my skin. I felt so good that I completely forgot I had bad skin.

“Then I remember getting a couple of tweets that became a lot of tweets of how proud people were of me. I was like 'Oh wait, this is actually kind of cool’. And it completely flipped my energy on it. But at the same time I do want it gone.”

The reality star was met with disgust from social media users, with many left questioning the “publicity stunt.”

One user wrote: “And the biggest anticlimactic moment of 2019 so far goes to...”

Another commented: “And once again @KendallJenner wins the award for making her fans question her decisions. To hype up so many people just to promote #Proactiv good publicity stunt!”

A third added: “Are you f****** kidding me?”

The tweets come after Jenner was forced back to hit out at critics after she faced abuse online following the awards show last year.

Jenner took the opportunity to turn the negative into a positive, telling her fans to never let it hold them back.

At the time, she wrote on Twitter: “Never let that s*** stop you!”
