Kemba Walker explains how Celtics were able to close out Nuggets in third straight win

Starting Boston Celtics point guard Kemba Walker was part of a big second-half run to wrest control of the game from the Denver Nuggets on Sunday afternoon, giving the Celtics their third win in a row with the 105 – 87 blowout win.

The Bronx native scored 14 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists to help Boston seal the win with a 31 to 3 run in the contest’s final frame that put the Nuggets away for good. The New Yorker spoke with the media after the game, sharing his thoughts on how the Celtics managed to take control against an elite opponent where in many games this season they’d let go of the rope instead.

“It was a tough first half, because those guys were playing really well, making a lot of shots,” Walker began.
