Kemar Roofe doubles down on Rangers ban anger as Ibrox star points to roles reversed 'horror' tackle

Frustrated Kemar Roofe has doubled down on his anger at being potentially banned for a tackle on St Johnstone midfielder Murray Davidson.

Rangers have until Monday to decide whether they'll take the two game ban or challenge and Roofe has taken to social media to share his displeasure at being cited.

He faced a two match ban if things don't go his way which would be a huge frustration after spending the early part of the year out with an injury.

Roofe was shown a yellow card for his tackle on Wednesday night and clearly feels that should have been the end of it.

After news of his notice of complaint broke, he shared a story on Instagram with an angry emoji and he doubled down on that on Saturday morning.

He first shared a video of a tackle from Liam Gordon on Roofe in the 3-0 win for Rangers at Ibrox over St Johnstone earlier in the season.

It saw Gordon fly in and take Roofe out and a yellow card was shown but not extra was added despite it being a clear red card tackle.

The caption on the video read: "Thoughts on this horrific foul on @roofe?

"Surely if Roofe got a two match ban that's a red card."

The former Leeds man then shared a second image of a similar tackle being done on him during a Europa League game against Standard Liege.

Speaking about the incident yesterday, Steven Gerrard said: "I haven't thought that much of it because the referee dealt with it. He was five yards away and he has seen the incident and gave the yellow card.

"We've had this decision thrust upon us. We've got until end of play Monday to decide what to do and we'll take our time and decide."
