Kemar Roofe adds to Rangers injury woes as striker limps off during Europa League clash

Kemar Roofe has added to Rangers ' injury woes after being substituted with a calf problem in the Europa League clash against Lincoln Red Imps.

Steven Gerrard's side sustained four injuries on Saturday, with Leon Balogun ruled out during the warm-up and Ryan Jack, Alfredo Morelos and Brandon Barker all taken off during the game.

Roofe, who scored twice in his first five appearances for the club since joining in August, picked up a calf injury with seven minutes of the first half remaining in the second qualifying round fixture.

He walked off surrounded by medical staff, and was replaced by youngster Nathan Patterson.

It's the third time in recent seasons that Roofe has had to deal with a calf injury. Similar issues saw him miss nine games for Anderlecht last season and six for Leeds United in the previous campaign.

The striker has looked good in his short spell in Glasgow so far and the club now faces a sweat to see if he can face Hibs in the Scottish Premiership on Sunday.
