A west end street has been evacuated after a on a building site.
Residents were urged to leave homes in Kelvinhaugh Street following reports of a at around 12:05pm.
Glasgow City Council have opened up a rest centre at Kelvin Hall and Glasgow University invite students to use facilities at Cairncross House.
Emergency services raced to the scene as police cordoned off streets around the area.

A spokesman for SGN said: 'Our network was damaged when developers constructing new flats struck our gas main with a mini excavator.
"We’ll be working to investigate the extent of the damage to our network and ensure the safety of the surrounding area."
Local Caroline Wilson, who lives in a flat there, told how people face being out of their homes for "four to five hours" – and said there was a strong smell of gas before firefighters came to her door.
A spokesman for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said: “We were alerted at 12.05pm on Wednesday, August 31 to reports of a large gas leak on Kelvinhaugh Street, Glasgow.
“Operations Control mobilised three fire appliances to the scene and firefighters are working to assist partners with the evacuation of nearby buildings as a precaution.
“Crews will remain in attendance.”
A spokeswoman for Police Scotland confirmed they are on site helping with the incident by diverting traffic onto nearby local roads.
