Kelvingrove Museum has made the top 500 list of things to see and do in the entire world.
The west end institution – the city's best-loved tourist attraction – comes in at number 458 on the Lonely Planet's bumper Ultimate Travel List for 2020.
The longlist ranks 500 "unmissable" travel experiences with "a mix of knock-out new openings, sights that have upped their game or places more relevant to the way we travel now."
The red sandstone building on the banks of the River Kelvin is home to one of Europe's great civic art collections, worth over £600 million.
In the book, Lonely Planet describe Kelvingrove as a "grand Victorian cathedral of culture with an eccentric array of exhibits."
"The mix can make your head spin but the rooms are thoughtfully themed," it adds.
The museum boasts three floors, 22 galleries and 8000 items bursting with treasures from the world's history – from wildlife and war, art and literature.
Its 'jewel of the crown' is the famous Christ of St John of the Cross painting by Salvador Dali.
Oh – and they say Glasgow is "a city where energy, culture and history bubble and fizz like freshly broached Irn Bru."
The museum was beaten by a number of other Scottish tourism spots on the longlist, including Stirling Castle (390) the Dundee Waterfront (374), Edinburgh's Royal Mile (248) Skara Brae (238) , Loch Lomond (224), Glen Coe (212) and the West Highland Way (172).
