Kelvinbridge bar to serve up Christmas day breakfast for Glasgow's homeless

The Machair bar in Kelvinbridge will open up on Christmas morning to serve breakfast to Glasgow's homeless.

The Great Western Road venue is due to throw open its doors at 8am, inviting those in need inside.

The west end pub confirmed on social media this afternoon: "We open at 8 am Christmas morning serving up hot food & drinks.

"Jumpers blankets & food to give away for anyone that’s in need."

Staff had earlier Tweeted: "all we need are the people who would be looking for a place to enjoy Christmas."

A magnificent gesture - the Machair bar can be found at 372 Great Western Road in Kelvinbridge.

For more information on the Machair, you can follow them on Twitter HERE or visit their website.
